Paul Renaud for “Voluntari din pasiune!”, a Rotaract event

In his interview for “Voluntari din pasiune!”,Rotaract Romania and Republic of Moldova event, Paul Renaud is answering to a series of very interesting questions about Volunteering.

Q: Why is volunteering such good thing?

A: Well I guess the easy and most common answer is quite simply to give back to the community. Some people realize this early in their career, some later in their career and others miss out completely on the benefits and the realization that giving back is one way of ‘leaving a better tomorrow’.

Early in my career I had the good fortune of having an employer (Bell Mobility) which encouraged me to support certain causes and hence volunteer: An education foundation, a hospital foundation, and a hospital for sick children and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Volunteering is similar to many experiences in life – you don’t know what it’s going to be like till you dive feet first in the water, then… ‘you get it’. You then realize at that moment what a powerful difference you can make for people in need.

Volunteering is good for the soul and it’s good for people to use their talents and experience for something bigger than what they are.
Today through my public addresses, workshops and presentations I continue to give back to different organizations such as students, startup entrepreneurs, charities and non for profit organizations.
